Hello, I am a white, British woman, married to an African- American. I am 26 and he is 32. We have just found out we are re-locating back to NYC for his work after five years in London, and I was curious as to which areas people might advise us to live in. I know that parts of NYC are more Black, Latino or White, but we would love our three children to grow up in an area where the schools are really mixed and the atmosphere is easy and liberal. Its also very important to us that they know their African-American culture, as so far they have just lived in London, although their NaNa and family on their Daddy's side make up for it alot! Our daughter is 4, and our twin sons are 2.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try Montclair NJ, easy commute to the city, decent schools, and nice people, or Ft Lee, Teaneck, Leonia
