Whats the best piece of advice youve ever been given? (quotes)?

Never stand begging for what you have the power to earn.Whats the best piece of advice youve ever been given? (quotes)?
It's better to regret the things you've done than to regret the things you haven't done.

This has made me do things i thought twice about and mostly ended up positive results and the things i did regret at least i can say i did it and tried.Whats the best piece of advice youve ever been given? (quotes)?
Never to give advice!!!

Advice is the easiest thing to give, but the hardest to take........
Dont let other people walk over u, and dont settle for second best.
Live youre life without drugs or everithing bad for you!
.......Enjoy the fantasy......
respect others
'When you are not sure what to do, sometimes the worst thing to do is nothing.'

'Sometimes, its not how much you win by, its how little you lose by. When its all said and done, sometimes its very hard to tell the difference'
Don't stick your finger in there...
If you want something you find ways, if you don't want something you find reasons
always look on the bright side

although I have and it doesn't work
Take three spoons of the ';Whatever'; attitude each morning...

Stop the running water while you brush your teeth.

Never trust a person of the opposite sex who kisses with their eyes open.
Never believe anything you hear,....and only half of what you see.
if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.

it's ok to swim in the red river, just don't drink from it.

if you want to be happy with a woman, don't get married to her...

(...why didn't I listen to this one???)
if u love someone set them free, if they come back to u they are yours forever if they dont they were never urs in the first place
Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself

And (when I was pregnant) ';Finish the book you're reading before the baby comes';!
love many, trust few, and always paddle your own canoe.
When my wife died I was 28 years old. My Aunty who had also lost her husband at a young age, told me never to listen to anyone who hasn't been there, because they haven't got a clue what they are talking about.

That stood me in good stead for a very long time and it is so true.
It's nice to be important but remember, it's important to be nice!
The early bird catches the worm... but the second mouse gets the cheese
It's best to be quiet and have them think you are dumb than open your mouth and prove it
';Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction.';
Never try and eat anything bigger than your head
Take peoples names when you call customer services. It helps to prove that you spoke to someone, also if you need to call back you can ask for the same person again.
'Smile' said God 'for things could be worse'

I did smile.

Lo and behold - things did get worse
read men are from mars women are from Venus,
Never start what you can't finish.

And

Pick your battles, make sure they are big enough to be worth fighting, but small enough to win
I work with people with dementia and one of my ladies told me yesterday that, 'You should always live alone, you'll use less butter if you live alone' It's very true.
when you face the sun, the shadows always fall behind you
Treat others as you would wish to be treated

Travel broadens the mind

Everything in moderation

Imagine six 'impossible things' before breakfast

Don't just accept change, embrace it

Don't wait for the right moment, create it

Learn from the misfortunes of others

Be a friend to yourself and others will be so too
Stop worrying about potholes in the road and celebrate the journey.
