I'm slowly starting to resent my best friend. Advice?

I regret to say that I am extremely jealous of my best friend. We've been ever since elementary school or so and we are (were) completely inseparable. Some people even say our names together now like a couple or something, it's kinda funny.

The thing is, it seems like he always has something over me, like having more friends, better grades, is more athletic, etc. It's like I'm always in his shadow, as a younger and lesser brother. My parents love the guy. I don't want to resent him because he's such a good friend but it's really starting to bother me and I don't want to let that get in the way. Advice?I'm slowly starting to resent my best friend. Advice?
Wow i know exactly what your going through. My best friend is and has always been smarter, stronger, better looking, ETC. What i found to be helpful is find the one thing that they suck at and master it, or choose something your great at and know that you have something that is yours. its hard getting over the jealousy thing so slowly try to focus more on your good traits than your friends. The last thing you should do is loose a good friend over jealousy. I'm slowly starting to resent my best friend. Advice?
I understand that this is a tough situation for you, it would be for anyone. Its admirable that your seeking advice in order to help your friendship.

But this isn't about the accomplishments and talents of your friend. Its about you being happy with yourself.

Even they aren't as close as your best friend, there are many people who have more than you and many people who have less than you. These things within themselves do hot have the power to make someone happy but rather it is the contentment about the virtues of oneself.

I think people are different. My type is that I can not tolerate a guy better in every aspect than me as a friend. I usually find something that I am better at and there always is something man. At least you may act better towards people so that people would know you as a kinder guy. Being smart, strong, or good looking is not which makes people heroes. But in fact most of the heroes are good looking, strong and smart.
men are competitve.

its who we are.

tell him the truth, that you are starting to get pissed off that he is always more this or more that.

honesty is always the best path.
talk to him about it! sheesh. what's with men and communicating?

and then compare dick sizes. hahaha
