Care to give your best piece of advice for the first year of marriage?

I'm on month seven.Care to give your best piece of advice for the first year of marriage?
Best advice, keep the lines of communication open at all times. Debate, but never argue. If an argument starts to happen. Shut up until cooler heads prevail. Pick your battles. Don't go ballistic because she left her pantyhose hanging from the shower for the 200th time. Have a clear understanding one where the responsibilities lie. Each should have chores or duties that work you your strength. In the bed room take care of her 1st then seek to gain for yourself. Time to time leave little ';I love you'; notes about, or a rose. Draw her an unexpected bubble bath with soft music and candles time to time. Whisk her away for surprise B%26amp;B weekends. NEVER EVER let another woman come between you and her. Buy her sexy underware. If you have to tell her something bad tell her 3 things good 1st(specially if it about her or something she did, or is doing) And again, KEEP THE LINES OF COMMUNICATION OPEN AT ALL COST. Then you should be on good footing.Care to give your best piece of advice for the first year of marriage?
Lower your expectations. I've been married about three months but someone gave me that advice a week before my wedding. I thought about it and they were right. So much above love, weddings, and marriage is a bunch of idealized BS. Communication and Compromise. It's hard sometimes but that's what it's all about. Good Luck!!!
Marriage is just like a covenat btn two people, therefore be wholly into it, commit yourself. Respect and trust build a healthy long lasting relationship.

Good luck!
Yeah the first five years are the roughest! After that it's smooth sailing until about year twenty and then it starts all over again! lol Marriage is rough but remember communication is the key. Never go to bed mad that helps out alot.
you are gone man......... no hope now
first year of marriage is the toughest for a couple. they need to understand each others likes %26amp; dislikes. way of living, eating etc. one needs to make a real effort to adjust with each other.

remember compromise is the key. may be in the beggining you will regret this relationship but don't rush into descisions give it a try and think positive. trust each other and be loyal.
it was the hardest year of my life. Communication is the key to success. If you loose it, you loose everything. And have lost and lots of sex. It stops soon. not enough time!
To late man, it's over for you! No more fun! It's so sad...
Don't lose sight of the important things:

communication

connectedness with each other

committment

AND DON'T FORGET THE HOLIDAYS......AND ANNIVERSARIES!
i thought my first year was great... but the 2nd is the hardest....
Laugh. Have fun and enjoy the honeymoon period. Then enjoy moving on to the next chapter together. Through your lives together always talk and, again, laugh!
don't cheat it's the worst thing that u can do right now i suggest u wait have a happy marriage

What is your best, honest love advice?

Please give me your best love advice, or a favorite love quote. thanks! (its for a paper)What is your best, honest love advice?
Love is all you needWhat is your best, honest love advice?
Love is BLIND, marriage is a real eye opener.

    SO TRUE!
Real love can only be achieved through the ability to talk to each other. If you cannot be honest and communicate, then nothing in your relationship will be achieved. Never go to bed angry, and tell each other that you love each other every chance you get.
its not about how much you love him/her its about who you love.
Be honest and have an open line of communication. And of course, don't forget the golden rule.
    Be your best. Be honest.

    Be yourself...
Love, is a movement in a relationship.
Give as you want to receive.
Love yourself first for that is the only way you can love someone else.
Best 'love' advice....never forget that love takes compromise, respect, honesty and open communication. Two different personalities will clash at times, but remaining open to the other's feelings will overcome any problems.
Love is never having to say you're sorry.

Communication is the key to a successful love life.
My best love advice is simply this. Always stay true to the one you love and always be there for them in good times and bad times. Love someone for who they are not waht they are or what they have.
don't play with love as child with his balloon. let's it go, and after is gone, he cries cuz is not here
you never know what you got till its gone

no boy is worth your tears and the one who is wont make you cry
    be yourself?

thats the best you can do.

    because you are the best.
    ';You have nice lip structure.';
    love advice?

    be faithful.

    be honest.

    be patient and kind.

    be loyal.

    be chaste.

    be fair.

be true to yourself and your mate.

    have compassion.

    show spirit.

    stand up for yourself.

    don't be judgemental.

    don't be mean-spirited.

    don't be unreasonably demanding.
    Shyt happens
Be honest, keep communication lines open always. If you think about the complications in the relationship too much then you waste being with that person and just being who you are together.
My best advice is to just to TALK to each other when something's wrong. Always respectfully, and always fully explain what's going on. If you're the one who's being talked to, listen completely and do your best to work on whatever it is that your partner is asking you to do - even if it's something you may not agree with, it's something that was important enough to them to bring up.
I think when your in love you try to give the best that you can to that other person.
    be true to yourself first
Never go to bed in an arguement when married. If you have to make up before bed so be it. And ding ding round 2 first thing in the morning the next day if needed. ';BUT NEVER IN BED';!
    Don't bother
The best advice is not to listen to advice. Only you know what's good for you and your partner. There's no way you can encapsulate every nuance of your relationship to the person you're getting advice from and therefore such advice will be skewed.

“There was a fine line between love and hate, you heard that cliche all the time. But no one told you that the moment you crossed it would be the one you least expected. You'd fall in love and crack open a secret door to let your soul mate in. You just never expected such closeness, one day, to feel like an intrusion.” - Jodi Picoult
    best love advice lets see.......

always follow your heart no matter what but also hear the thoughts if its going to put you in risk or hurt you.

go with the bible quote of A walk to remember by nicholas sparks

thats says love is patient and kind........ so on. if you want the quote just email me and i will get for you. the book is at my house.
This quote has always been a classic and you probably have it written down already.

    ';If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was meant to be';

Best love advice - be honest and faithful and you should be able to overcome anything that stands in your way.
***Everyone Hates Us Because Were Together

Its Not Envy.. Its Not Jealousy..

    Its Pure Hatrid

    But You Know What?

    I Dont Care One Bit..

    Because Ive Got You

    %26amp;%26amp;AslongAsIveGotYou

    I Know Ill Be Okay

***Men say women are complicated when they shut them down. See with women we either want you or we dont. Men all they can say is maybe/kind of/sort of/ i dont know or Im confused. Tell me is it really that hard to know what you're looking for.

***I droped a tear in the ocean for you,

so the day you find it call me

and that will be the day ill stop loving you.

****im not a perfect girl my hair doesnt always stay in place i spill alot of things and im pretty clumsy but when i think about it and take a step back i remember how amazing my life truly is %26amp; that maybe i like being imperfect
I love you and couldnt live any longer without you brown eyes !

(you can change eye color depending on girl)
always be honest with your partner - that could make or break the relationship
Be open and honest. Take your loved one for who he is, not what he/she should be.

DEA Career Advice. Whats the Best path?

I am a College Student who has been interested in the DEA for years. My Major is criminal justice/sociology. I was just wondering what would be the best path to becoming a DEA Agent? What should I do Next?DEA Career Advice. Whats the Best path?
I am also, I had a short talk with an agent and he said that:

College is of course best. Look at the DEA site and the degrees they have listed are prime for it. You are more likely to get the position if you have one of the degrees they have listed than if you have a different degree.

Military isn't a bad idea, especially officer or combat. He said the DEA agents often do raids and military was good for him. (You could of course, skip this step. I personally am going to do military).

Local police is really, really good. Like 3-5 years he said is great. More likely to get DEA position with local experience.

Best thing you can do is get used to the business stuff and talk with DEA agents. You can set up meeting I think (I talked with that guy casually, no meeting).

Good luck!DEA Career Advice. Whats the Best path?
You really need to get a second language or two under your belt. Spanish, French, Mandarin, Thai, or even Farsi. Make yourself unique not just another guy with a college degree. While you may want to be DEA apply to other Law Enforcement Agencies also. No guarantee you'll get a DEA slot first go around. You might have to spend time with another department before getting a DEA slot.

Ok whats the BEST piece of advice you have ever been given?????

Mines never believe what you hear and only believe half of what you see!!!!!Ok whats the BEST piece of advice you have ever been given?????
yes me too ^_^Ok whats the BEST piece of advice you have ever been given?????
Mine is too - I sometimes wish some people would just shut-up and quit telling me things. They have a tendency to believe EVERYTHING they hear and they drive me wild!
Don't worry Pico, mine are cheesy AA sayings too, but they work:Take it one day at a time and Don't sweat the small stuff.
    Bloom where you are planted.

Simply put - make the best of it.
Billy Boy, you can have whatever you want. The matter will always come down to this question: How badly do you want it?
When you plan your busy schedule, allow time every day for a margin of free time. Don't fill every minute with things to do; make a margin or a space that includes free time. When you allow for a margin, life will fill up that margin quickly. When you allow that to happen, you can live a healthier, happier and more stress-free life.
Never do anything so bad that your ashamed to look at the person staring back at you in the mirror.
    ';Always ask for advice but don`t feel you have to take it';
An older lady once told me that you shouldn't be with any man who doesn't make you feel like a princess. I am with my husband now and he does make me feel that way.
    mine is GO to bed!
I once bought some white spirit in a plastic bottle. Embossed around the neck in raised letters, braille and moon were the words:

Do not drink. Keep away from children.

I thought this was such valuable advice, I kept it as my family motto.

Americans, please ask an English person to explain this to you.
Pick you battles. My mom gave me that advice a long time ago when it came to dealing with my kids, but I find I use it for everything now and it's the piece of advice I give out the most.
Mine was, Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option
laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry, and you cry alone!
    Just say 'no'
Look at your own before criticising someone else's

    Laughing feels better.

    (advice from my father)
    Don't eat yellow snow.

Every sixty seconds spent in anger, is one minute of happiness you can never get back.
    Shut up and sit down.
    Everything Happens For A Reason

    XoXo
    ';listen to your own advice';
keep ur legs closed until ur married!
Stand up for something you believe in, even if you stand alone.
    Always use a condom.
Take what you need and leave the rest. It's a cheesy AA saying but I apply it to life in general.
Everything will turn out alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end.
I don't like to say, it's private. But the BEST advice always comes from my sister, she's a cool brainbox, she always calms me down.

  • Friends, are they the best to ask for advice?

I've heard people say this before, and I've read a lot of things saying that friends are not the best people to give advice because they'll tell you what you want to hear and sometimes have biased opinions. I've also read that a stranger or a co-worker is the best person to give you advice. Do you think this is true?Friends, are they the best to ask for advice?
Somewhat true....it depends on the situation. Sometimes your friend may be bias and are easily judgemental. A co-worker is NOT really appropriate when it comes to personal relations. (I think). A stranger, yes because they do NOT know you or your story to judge or be bias.Friends, are they the best to ask for advice?
well, the truth is that ALL people tend to be bias when they give advises... the problem with friends is that they tend to be more bias compared to a stranger who would give a comment impromptu.... BUT, it depends on a person's personality, if your friend is more of the objective type (can never be absolute) than the subjective type, then it would be best that you share it with Thom...

my guess is you're an adolescent, don't you know that most likely at you age peers are the most important people in your life?........... My advise is always share ideas with your friends, with your conversations, exchanging of opinions, you can form a good moral, etc.... friends can also be a source of self esteem... so for me, the best thing to do is share your ideas with your friends, we did that, and everything went well... don't worry bout committing mistakes, you'll learn from them
In my opinion, I feel that true friends who know you inside out will be able to give you a better advice.

    points don't matter to some.

what ticks me off is when i get best answer and two or three stars, i just wanna give it back to em and tell em what they can do with their three damn stars

only every 28 days do i get that fussy though
Some people aren't even aware of the thumbs or are unable to rate yet....
Level one people can't rate, that might be why.
thanks, i needed that question. i'm with JvH though, i wonder why for best answer one only gets a couple of stars. if you are that unsure, maybe it isn't a best answer at all and the question could be extended and starred a few times so that it gets out there for more answers.

Suffering form epilipsy from last 12 year, kindly advice me best treatment?

i am suffering from epilipsy from last 12 year and taken lot of treatment but no treatment is effective till date. kindly advice me the best treatmentSuffering form epilipsy from last 12 year, kindly advice me best treatment?
Traditional medicine from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, India. It's called Siddha Vaidya. You have to be willing to take the medicines and recieve the treatments. This may mean rest for some time, but I know that it will restores people reasonably well. This medicine often works well where Western medicine lacks -- like restoring degenerative diseases, cerebral palsy, most arthritic conditions, diabetes, spondilosis and so on.Suffering form epilipsy from last 12 year, kindly advice me best treatment?
have you gone to Mayo Clinic yet? I went there myself when I was about 14 and unfortunately they couldn't get me on the right meds either and after being on the wrong meds for nearly 14 years I finally just quite taken them, I have gotten lucky and only had a few grand mal seizures when I was in my teens but I still have petite mal seizures from time to time but more so only when I am under stress and don't get enough sleep, but as far as your health goes continue trying to see different specialists if you can and keep trying, I got lucky I guess, for the most part I just grew out of mine
I am a nurse and I will tell you, I honestly believe that you can not find your answer here. You may get some good advice, but the only real solution to your medical problem is seeing a specialist.

Only a trained professional can give you a proper examination, testing. And hopefully find the right medication for your Epilepsy. A regular MD is not the best doctor for this. You need to see a neurologist. They have several very good ones in the united

states. I have read the best places to go for this are Loma Linda CA, Chicago ILL, And Boston MA. Good luck and I hope you find the right treatment. You can look up your problem and probably find a doctor at either

    www.webmd.com or www.medscape.com
pray i know somebody was cured and the doctor don't know how
No matter what treament is advised to you , please read the autobiography of Karen Armstrong by the title of '; THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE';.

This book I am positive will show you a new light , reduce your anxiety and depression and tell you that there are areas in you which need to be explored awaiting your personality development and sense of achievement.
Try speaking to a doctor/specialist about an implant that stops your seizure when you run a magnet over it. Otherwise you may need a combination of antiseizure medication.

the best powders have to be boots 17 pressed powder and maxfactor creme puff. they both give excellent coverage and have made my skin much better than it used to be, both give same effect but if your on a tighter budget i'd go for the 17 powder, it's cheaper and also presented better :)
Okay, well for foundation, if you have a Body Shop buy the tinted mousturiser, it has a very even and natural look. That or Max factor. Blusher, i have a mac blusher which is quite expensive but they have good ones in Benefit. For thickening mascara, go for volume clubbing borjois or sexy curves, which isnt as volumising but VERY very good,

This is a lot to answer but ok!

Foundation: Dream Matte Mousse adds a pefect, flawless sheen and comes in lots of different shades and textures.

Blusher: Miss Sporty is cheap and comes in 3 great colours.

Powder: Boots have a Natural Range, great powders that are cheap.

Miss Sporty also have pressed powders.

Concealer: Natural Range and 17 Hide Away concealer are great for hiding blemishes and marks. Cheap and easy to use.

Lipgloss: I prefer to use the vaseline lip balms but there are great

Rimmel London ones and try any lipglosses from any of the prodcucts names i have mentioned so far.

Mascara: Sexy Curves adds great thickness but not so much on the legnth. Zero clumps.

Collosall is really good at thickening your lashes but can be too clumpy if applied to thick. Again, browse through other product names that i have mentioned.

Eyeshadow: Natural Range is FABULOUS and comes in really neutral colours. Barry M is also good, most colours are neon or are bold but it also has some really nice golds.

    Hope i helped! :D
    I love these kinda Questions.

Ooh, I see you are from England :D

Any advice for the best way to give birth?

i want to have him natural without an epidural but my mother in law thinks im crazy....Any advice for the best way to give birth?
They say that on all fours is the easiest way to give birth and that it lessens the risk of tearing. In your birth-plan do say that you would rather a natural birth but don't stick too rigidly to it as you may decide to take the epidural after all.

I didn't have an epidural and Im glad I didn't some people have complained of having back ache after it. If your hospital has gas and air go for that. It doesn't take away the pain but it gives you something else to focus on. Also my husband said it made him relax abit because I was talking S**t and laughing so much. At first he was trying to take it off me because he thought I was getting too high but the nurse told him it does not effect the baby as it leaves your system really fast.

Any advice for the best way to give birth?
The best way to give birth is the way that makes it the most bearable, pleasant, and safe experience for you. If that means no epidural, limited meds, or being completely numb from that waist down, do what you have to do. This is one time the last thing you want to base your decision on is your mother-in-law's opinion. But if you have never given birth before, keep your options open for yourself. Don't adamantly declare you will never get an epidural because you don't know what it's like until you're there.
I did not have a epidural. Actually I think of my labor and delivery as a wonderful thing. Please do not get me wrong it was painful and it hurt, but it was a great experience. Really the worst is when the pushing contractions come and if they want you to not push. That does not last too long though. I think my best piece of advise is to listen to your nurse, they are there to help you and they have tons of knowledge. If your nurse suggest to you something try it, if you do not like it you can stop. My nurse suggested that I use a bean bag to lean over and rock my hips and that was my life saver. I would keep an opened mind and have faith in yourself. We were designed to give birth.
I want regular drugs, no way am I getting a needle shoved in my spine, but I've been contemplating on a birthing tub, its supposed to make it easier and the baby might slip out with a little more ease, plus its not a huge shock going from warmth to bright and cold. I have also heard of hypnobirthing, it sounds really awesome, google it and you can find all the doctors that can do it.
i think you so not think about it!! NEVER SAY NEVER!!! i know so many people who did NOT want the drugs but after hours or being in that pain the were begging for them!!!! stay Strong and do what you want to do (dont let anyone pressure you or change you mind) but when it comes to your delivery day if you can deal with the pain then dont take the drugs but if its just to much dont feel bad or guilty take them thats why the drugs are there!:) good luck and congrats!
After four pregnancies and with number five on the way, I've had all four of my boys natural. And I'm planning on the same in a couple of months. The pain is never fun, but my husband wants to come into the delivery room to watch his fifth son being born. I already told him not to take anything I say seriously when I'm in labor....lol.

    Rachelle :)
Then have it in your birth plan to have a natural birth with no epidural. Why does your mother in law's opinion count? If you and your husband were old enough to make a baby then you can deliver it any way you please.
DO NOT GET THE EPIDURAL UR BACK WOULD BE IN PAIN AFTER YEARS OR EVEN RIGHT AWAY I TOOK IT ON MY 1ST BUT HELL NO I DID NOT TAKE IT ON THE2ND ONE IT HURTS ALOT IT MIGHT TAKE THE PAIN AWAY BUT DONT TAKE IT TELL UR MOTHER IN LAW SH'S CRAZY LOL
Do it at home!! natural water birth is the way to go. or even if you do it at the hospital, do it in the water, its way more comfortable and an awsome way to give birth!!
    d0 what y0u want ma. y0u kn0w what y0u can handle. but i kn0w al0t 0f pe0ple wh0 said that and they g0t a epidural. s0 g00d luck!

and im having my baby natural.. well g0ing t0 try!

I went the lamaze way. I didn't want drugs. The breathing techniques worked pretty well. It still hurt like hell, but worth it. That was 30 yrs ago.
